CoinField's Litecoins' Wallet utilizes the new Litecoin address format. The new address format begins with an M instead of 3 and is convertible to the old address format, but be aware that users and wallets are discouraged from using this old format.¹
If you need to send and/ or receive² from wallet software that still uses the old Litecoin address format, you must use the Litecoin address converter available in the following link: Litecoin Convert
- For depositing into your CoinField account (if the sender address is in the OLD format - initiating with 3), you must copy and paste your CoinField wallet address (NEW format - initiating with M) on the converter link and use the address that is shown there converted to the OLD format (OLD format - initiating with 3) to make the transaction request.
- For withdrawal from your CoinField wallet (NEW format - initiating with M) to another address (OLD format - initiating with 3), you must copy and paste the destination address on the converter link and use the address that is shown there converted to a NEW format to make the transaction request.
In case the address is not converted, your transaction might fail. In this case, you can contact our support to check your transaction by going to Support Ticket and choosing Crypto Withdrawal Issue.
¹ Please go to your Dashboard >> LiteCoin wallet for more information on deposits and withdrawals
² Coinfield cannot cancel/ reverse/ recover transactions if client accidentally sent Cryptos to a wrong destination address. The reason is because each transaction is processed by Blockchain, and we do not have any control over it after the transaction is made.
